reflection II

At this point in this semester, this class is really starting to affect the way I think. It's gotten to the point where Instagram has been showing me way more dog-related posts than it used to (creepy), and I can't see those posts without analyzing how the dog is being portrayed. Does that dog doing a trust fall really trust its owner, or do we just think that because that's what a trust fall means to us? Does that dog really understand how to communicate using speech buttons? Would the comments on that video be different if the funny aggressive chihuahua was a pit bull instead?

I also loved our class when Stacey Frisk came and spoke to us. It was cool to see some of the real life applications of what we are discussing in class. It also inspired me to start volunteering at the humane society, which I did this weekend and it was fantastic. I'm super excited to start our project because there are some fantastic adoptable dogs there.
