First Draft

 

As I was working on my first draft, my idea for my representation shifted a bit. I was thinking about our relationships with our pets, and I thought about how everyone thinks they have the cutest dog, the best pet. You can always pick your dog out in a crowd. And that's what I want to make the focus of my representation, that all dogs are special, and maybe Flint could be your special dog (wink wink please adopt him). I've started out by drawing a bunch of very nice dogs in black and white, some of them are even modeled after other dogs at the humane society. I'm planning to put in the center a drawing of Flint in color to make him stand out from the crowd, like seeing your own dog in the crowd.
