reflection III

The latest bit of this class has been a fun real-world application of what we've learned. I really enjoyed visiting the Cache Humane Society and attempting to represent a shelter dog! I think this project adds a really great dimension to this class. Sometimes things feel very abstract or theoretical when we're discussing them, but the representation project really ties our discussions back down to the real world. I'm not much of an artist, but I'm really enjoying applying the ideas we've discussed and trying to make a good representation for my dog. I'm not from Logan or Utah so I think the Community Scholar aspect of this class is fantastic and I like actually working with local institutions and better getting to know the area.
